Life at Oakview Plantation
Unlike most island communities, Oakview hosts a balanced variety of families, from young working couples, many with children, to established professionals and active retirees.
The small county-maintained park and fishing pier on Sterling Point provides both spectacular sunset views over Calibogue Sound, and a place to wet a line or socialize with neighbors out for a stroll. Town bike paths link our community to nearby parkland, restaurants, office parks, and similar neighborhoods along Spanish Wells and Marshland roads.
The vast majority of lots in Oakview are built upon, so construction noise and associated traffic is minimal. Our design review process is informal, staffed by volunteer neighbors versed in design and construction, and structured to assist families in the home-building process.
